2018 COMMENCEMENT CEREMONIES & RECEPTION

The 2018 Commencement Ceremonies will take place between Friday, May 18 through Monday, May 21.

Specific college and major dates and times will be released at the start of the Spring semester.

University Ceremonies and Honors Convocation

University Ceremonies are where students candidates get their degrees conferred. 

Honors Convocation recognizes outstanding graduating students who are distinguished based on Scholastic or Personal Achievement.

Specific college and major dates and times will be released at the end of Fall semester.

Ceremony Receptions

Ceremony Receptions are hosted by the University to provide parents and guests an opportunity to meet faculty and staff.

Departmental Receptions

Departmental Receptions are hosted by a specific department, giving students and their guests the opportunity to meet faculty and staff. 

Hooding Ceremonies

Hooding Ceremonies are a special recognition ceremony for Masters and Doctoral degree candidates during which a faculty adviser, administrator, and/or a Dean of the Academic College invest a hood on a student, signifying their success in completing the graduate program.

Cultural Celebrations

Cultural Celebrations aim to celebrate the diversity of our students and commemorate them on a successful academic journey. These celebrations are organized by student organizations or campus entities.
