CSBS Launches New ‘Center for Urban Water Resilience’

March 18, 2015

In recognition of World Water Day on March 22nd, the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences announces the chartering of a new center, the Center for Urban Water Resilience.  This center will serve as a resource for the development of a comprehensive water research program at CSUN, as well as a repository of knowledge and expertise available on urban water resource issues for use in problem-solving, planning, practical design, policy development, research and education.  Facilitating interdisciplinary approaches to applied water research and community partnerships, we look forward to the future development of this center.  Although new, the Center has already begun to build partnerships with LADWP (the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power ) and LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District) through the development of a utilities based internship program.
