Matthew Moldthan

Matthew is a New Orleans-born native currently attending CSUN as an Engineering Management Junior. His professional and academic interests include biomedical research in relation to tissue engineering applications and complex systems and project management. His most recent research involves the design and construction of a Digital Light Projection 3D Bioprinter. He also manages two labs on campus, and his other research involves prototyping parts for a custom-built microextrusion 3D Bioprinter as well as researching new materials and methods for use in 3D Bioprinting and tissue engineering applications.

Jose Olmedo

Hello fellow matadors, my name is Jose Olmedo and I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in manufacturing systems engineering at CSUN. This is my second year at CSUN. I transferred in the Fall of 2015 from Los Angeles Mission College. After completing my B.S. in MSE, I will continue my stay at CSUN and pursue a master's degree in Materials Engineering. On my free time, I enjoy hiking in the forest, playing soccer, and taking long walks on the beach.

Juliana Bermudez
Director of Web Services

Juliana is a B.S. student in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from California State University, Northridge. She has been tutoring in various organizations for K-12 students and college students. Juliana is also a Scholar of the BUILD PODER program which is an undergraduate research training program funded by the National Institute of health. She is currently working as a  research assistant in Dr. Li's lab. Her current research involves 3D bioprinting by applying inkjet printing technology to tissue engineering to address the need for tissues and organs suitable for transplantation. Juliana plans on pursuing higher education and wants to obtain a Ph.D. in Bioengineering

Kerstern Malama
Director of Membership Services and Recruitment

Kerstern Malama a Manufacturing system Engineering major, Director of membership services and recruitment for SME, believes every engineering students should be part of the SME chapter. SME chapter is the back bone of every industry involved in Manufacturing. When she is not glued to the computer and books, she likes interacting with people and travelling around the world. Her favorite place to visit is Europe.

Daniel Avila
