Cal State Northridge’s Trike-A-Thon Postponed Due to Rain

What:

Cal State Northridge’s Child and Family Studies Center’s Laboratory School has postponed is annual “"Trike-A-Thon," scheduled to take place today, until Wednesday, April 25, because of rain.

On April 25, dozens of preschoolers and kindergartners will test their leg strength as they race around their play yard to raise money for the school’s programs. The competition culminates a weeklong lesson on the importance of exercise and physical fitness. The school’s play yard will be transformed into a race course, complete with start and finish lines, water stations and cheerleaders.

Friends and family members of the children have pledged money to the school to support the young racers.

The school and center are part of Northridge’s Department of Family and Consumer Sciences in the College of Health and Human Development. The school serves as a learning environment for Northridge students interested in working with children.

Wednesday, April 25, 2007
10 a.m. — Full-Day Preschool class
10:30 a.m. — AM Half-Day Preschool class
11 a.m. — Kindergarten class
3 p.m. — PM Half-Day Preschool class
