(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., Oct. 16, 2007) — Choosing the right college is a daunting task many high school seniors face as graduation approaches. Cal State Northridge officials invite prospective students to visit the campus in hopes of making that decision easier.
"Preview CSUN" is scheduled to take place, Saturday, Oct. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is designed to give future students and their families an opportunity to learn more about Northridge and its academic programs.
Jerry Verdin, assistant director of the Student Outreach and Recruitment Office, noted that visiting the campus is a great way to solidify a student’s decision or to help answer remaining questions.
"Prospective students and their families are invited to Cal State Northridge to experience our campus and everything we have to offer," said Verdin. "We want students to learn more about CSUN, the application process, financial aid, our various degree programs, student life and much, much more."
Visiting students will have the chance to speak one-on-one with professors, faculty and students, see the campus on a guided walking tour and attend workshops focused on the application process. Students also will view a short film depicting life at CSUN.
