Research

Na Deng (ND) started to be engaged in solar physics research in January of 2002. ND's current research interests lie in:

High-resolution ground-based solar observations with Adaptive Optics (AO), speckle masking imaging, and 2D spectropolarimetry
Analysis and interpretation of data from ground and space observations and their coordination
Sunspot structure and magnetic field and their evolution associated with flare/CME
Flows in solar active regions and their relation to flare/CME occurrence
Fine structure in solar active regions
Image reconstruction techniques
Spectral analysis of solar absorption lines

Current Projects:

Spectral analysis of Stokes profiles in photosphere and chromosphere
Multi-height properties of sunspot moat and Evershed flows

Any comments or suggestions are highly appreciated.
