Howard’s love of videography began when he was in high school. He took a class where they shot all of the school’s sporting events and put clips together in a highlight video. Howard decided then and there that he wanted to be a cinematographer.

After high school Howard went on the Cal State Northridge to study Cinema and Television Arts. During college Howard worked on a student film in the camera department to gain some experience in a somewhat professional setting. Once college ended, Howard tried to break into the entertainment industry doing anything camera related.

Finding it hard to get a foot in the door without any contacts, Howard caught a break when he helped another videographer shoot a middle school play. Being back behind the camera made Howard decide that he needed to do his own thing and so Howie G. Productions was born.
