All of my classes are In-Person/In-Class.
I use tablet, projector, and virtual whiteboard technologies in my classrooms. My policy is to record my lectures as Audio/Video presentations and to post them to the course Canvas page. This allows all enrolled students to rewatch/review my lectures in detail at their own convenience.
To facilitate this, I use Zoom to record the lecture. It has decent automatic transcription/close-captioning (which is legally required by the Americans for Disabilities Act). It has good abilities to capture video, audio, screens, and application output. It’s very useful.
However, it also allows people to view and join remotely. While this is not, in my opinion, the most effective and best way to experience my classrooms I do base any of my grades on attendance. I do configure Zoom to allow students to join. If you as a student cannot make it to the classroom for any reason you are welcome to join the class via Zoom. (Many students join Zoom even from the classroom to have the whiteboard/visuals brought closer to them on their laptop.)
