Info for Spring 2022

Adding to Full classes

I will not be considering requests, or providing permission numbers, for any of my class sections until at least the second week of classes. If you hope to be added to one of my sections then you need to be attend the classes and you should get your name on the registration waiting list that Solar keeps. Solar is keeping the official waiting list for all of my sections this Spring.

It's not a bad idea to write a polite letter to the campus inquiring as to why Computer Science is not allocated sufficient resources to satisfy student demand for classes. I certainly don't have an answer for that.

Omicron Virtual Instruction

Due to the incredible spike in covid cases, the campus has again moved to 100% virtual instruction for the first three weeks of the semester. COMP522 and COMP282, which were scheduled face-to-face, will now be face-to-face for the first three weeks. I will be providing the class virtually through zoom at the times scheduled for the class. The zoom link is always the same and you can find it in the next section here. The campus plans are to return to face-to-face on Feb. 14th. Though, I am sure this will be re-evaluated based on the covid problems and numbers that exist at that time.
