Under no circumstances will any permission numbers be given out by Prof. Wiegley that would result in a class exceeding its enrollment cap.
Due to the labor agreement, economic and administrative policies of this College and the State, Prof. Wiegley will NOT over-enroll any course. Niether Prof. Wiegley or the Department of Computer Science receives any compensation from the tuition over-enrolled students pay for the Computer Science or Computer Information courses provided by that instructor or department. Over-enrollment is a request for many already hard working and sacrificing people to provide additional work without fair compensation or support.
Prof. Wiegley is very interested in the success of Computer Science CIT students and is deeply disappointed that this policy must exist in order to maintain an ethical and fair world (or at least cope with the frustration of this unavoidably corrupt and unfair one). I apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment that this will cause many students but it is necessary.
If you feel this to be unacceptable or unfair I urge you to professionally communicate your position on the subject with the College of Engineering and Computer Science's Dean and the University Provost. You may also communicate with the Chair of Computer Science but please realize that the department of Computer Science as no authority or control over the financial policies of the university or college.
