Strike Authorization Vote Passes

The strike authorize vote for the CFA bargaining agreement has passed with 95% of voters in favor of authorizing a strike. I received an email announcement 2:32PM.

This does NOT mean we are on strike or that there will be a strike. It simply means that the union is now legally allowed to call a strike as part of their actions when the negotiations finally fail. It allows us to offcially threaten a strike as part of our tactics.

It does bring us one step closer to a strike being more likely.

We are still in the last negotiation phases called “fact-finding”. We will still have a 10-blackout period following fact-finding before a strike could being.
