The Tseng College values its relationship with Chinese universities and their students. It recognizes that China leads other countries in the number of international students seeking higher education in the United States. As part of its educational outreach, The Tseng College hosts periodic seminars at CSUN for Chinese students. In the past year it sponsored visits by Chinese business and public-sector executives from Nankai University and Tianjin University enrolled in Executive MBA (EMBA) programs in China. Collaborating with JBS Group Inc., The Tseng College offers specialized presentations and lectures at CSUN for these students to learn about business, management and leadership. Topics include "Marketing in the Global Economy" and "Leadership in a Global Context." Attendees from Nankai University included representatives from the university's business school, electric power construction, engineering, import and export, investment and development, municipal research, and science and technology. Tianjin University's visiting group included the vice dean of Tianjin University's school of management and high level managers from air services, construction, metallurgy, real estate, and science and technology.

Chinese students also have a strong presence in The Tseng College's Intensive English and University Pathway Programs (IEUP). Many of the 300 international students who participate in IEUP to improve their English skills also matriculate into CSUN's undergraduate and graduate degree programs, making them a vital part of university life. In addition, last year a group of Chinese graduates from The Tseng College's Master of Public Administration program returned to visit the MPA office and the China Institute, maintaining the education contacts they launched at CSUN.
