Dr. Zhou received his Ph.D. in Financial Economics from the University of California at Riverside in 1993 and joined the CSUN faculty in 1998. He teaches investments, corporate finance (financial management), and derivatives (options and futures) for both graduate and undergraduate programs. His research interests include asset pricing, capital markets, financial modeling, and initial public offerings (IPOs). In recent years, his research focuses on IPOs in emerging markets. His publications appear in academic journals, such as International Review of Financial Analysis, Asia-Pacific Journal of Financial Studies, Emerging Markets Review, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Review of Pacific Basin Financial Markets and Policies, Studies in Nonlinear Dynamics & Econometrics, The Chinese Economy, China & World Economy, Frontiers of Economics in China, Econometric Reviews, Journal of Real Estate Research, Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management, and International Journal of Business.
Committed to teaching, research, and university/community servises, in his spare time, Dr. Zhou likes watching sports, playing table tennis, traveling, reading, and cooking.
