RTM 151B Rock Climbing
Welcome to the RTM 151B . . . in addition to learning technical skills of the sport of rock climbing the class will prepare you for safe and enjoyable trips into mountainous environments. In the words of John Muir, "in the midst of such beauty, who could help but be a mountaineer?"
The course page is your location for key information for the course. Syllabi, lecture notes, field trip information, and other information can be located here.
If you have any questions please check the course page first for the information, followed by asking a question during classroom, and then drop me an email if your question still remains. (alan.wright @csun.edu)
I will have regularly scheduled office hours - you can find the link with specific hours from my faculty home page.
Please note that the syllabus lists the specific class meetings and required field class. So click on the syllabus for more info.
as the 3-day field class is required and must fit your life schedule make sure you know when that is and drop the class if you are unable to attend due to personal schedule conflicts - you can't do that late in the semester!!
At the first class meeting the course will be fully described but in brief here is the format: class orientation followed by several weeks of on-line instruction followed by the culminating field class (wilderness trip) in rock climbing.
