Class Notes

WebCT: Please login to WebCT at the times noted on the Class Schedule for our online chats: WebCT login.

Once you're in this class website, click on the "Elluminate" icon or link. That takes you to the Elluminate Live classroom where we will meet.

Note: Please make sure that your computer is able to read "JAVA" and that you give yourself some extra time at the start of class, in case it needs any additional software, or if you have any set up issues.

If you do not have Java, you can download it for free at this website: http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp
Elluminate will also prompt you to download software that will allow you to use the classroom once you click on the link. Please follow its prompts to gain access to Elluminate Live where we meet.

PLEASE NOTE: I will be speaking during class through the Elluminate site. Therefore, you need to be able to hear the audio to follow the class. So you want to make sure you have a headphone/mic if you are in a public space on your computer, or that you have a private, quiet space through which to access the class.

Videos:
When you watch the videos for this class, please take notes. There is no discussion board to specifically discuss the videos. However, they will come up in the online class discussion as well as on the test. You can also weave them into your posts on the discussion boards for those weeks.

Please Click this link for information on Class Videos: Video Information Link
Race Speech by Obama: Speech by Senator Obama addressing race and class issues.
