Welcome to the home page for English 630: The Gawain-Poet at California State University, Northridge. In this seminar we will take an in depth look at the four poems of the Gawain-Poet: Cleanness, Patience, Pearl, and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. We will read all four poems in the original Middle English. Although this may not seem like a great deal of reading, the difficulty of the language and the density of the poetry will make for a challenging but rich experience. more >>
