April 9th RIV School Workshop to Prepare for the Upcoming

RALLY IN THE VALLEY

Saturday, APRIL 9th from 8:30 – 12:30

CSUN College of Engineering and Computer Science Jacaranda 1568

Parking Fee of $6.00 is required by the campus

Who? Area Educators-- Grades 3-6

What? Learn about the plans for the Rally in the Valley to be held in the CSUN Matadome on

Saturday, May 7th. This year’s cooper-tition will include LEGO Education Mindstorms’ NASA Space

Challenge and GREEN CITY Challenge. We will also tour the Matadome Gym that will be the site of RIV.

You will learn how the College of Engineering and Computer Science will support your upper-elementary school students in their STEM integration learning through volunteering at your school during your teams’ workshops on programming and driving their Mindstorm Robots.

    You Are Invited to Attend a

CSUN-NASA-JPL

            LEGO MINDSTORM EV3 WORKSHOP

                                                

Saturday, January 30th from 8:30 – 12:30

Parking Fee of $6.00 is required by the campus

Who?  Area Educators-- Grades 3-6

What? Learn how to program the newest LEGO Education Mindstorms EV3 robots.  Work with peers to adapt robots to meet the demands of the new LEGO- NASA Space Challenge

We will be offering a $100  stipend to participating teachers who will be learning how to support their upper-elementary school students in the STEM integration learning that occurs through the design, programming and driving of Mindstorm Robots. (Commitment to attend the upcoming Rally in the Valley at CSUN on May 7, 2016 as a participant or viewer is required).
