Conference Theme: Sustainability and Partnerships-Reconnect, Recreate, Renew...
Just as the plants, animals, and people of the beautiful Sonoran Desert adapt to sustain themselves, the 2005 NASPA western regional conference will give us the opportunity to nourish ourselves. As we reconnect with our fellow region V and VI colleagues, we will have the opportunity to recreate practices and concepts by sharing and exploring both effective and new ideas, and therefore renew our dedication to our students, our institutions and our communities.

Sustainability…the ability to keep going, to support, to harvest, and to thrive. So, how do we, as a profession and/or institutions, endure? What practices, ideas, studies or questions can you share that demonstrate personal, professional or institutional sustainability, especially in our continuously evolving environment?

Partnerships…the relationships involving close cooperation between parties having specified and joint rights and responsibilities. Also, one of the primary ways in which many of our programs, departments and, in some cases, institutions are able to survive. In what innovative and sustainable partnerships are you involved?

What do the terms reconnect, recreate, renew, sustainability, and partnerships mean to you? We invite you to attend the 2005 NASPA western regional conference to occur from November 10-12, 2005 in Tucson, AZ (Institute dates are November 9 and 10).
