Welcome to the homepage of the Linguistics and TESL Programs at California State University, Northridge, an interdisciplinary program affiliated to the School of Humanities. We draw our teaching and advisory faculty from the ranks of linguistically-trained full-time faculty housed in several campus departments along with part-time faculty who have expertise in specific areas of linguistics. The Linguistics/TESL program offers a major and a minor at the bachelor's level and a baccalaureate-level certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). We also offer a master's degree in linguistics, with students able to complete their graduate degrees in either the General Track or the TESL-track.
