Local Museum Visits
Beginning Research Links
- Diotima, Materials

- An excellent resouce! I visit here often. There are course
materials, bibliography, visual images, articles, and translations
of ancient authors, plus an easy to use interface.
- University of Memphis Institute
of Egyptian Art and Archaeology
- Great visuals of art objects, a color tour of the Nile, and
links to other Egyptian sites.
- ABZU
- T he University of Chicago's research archives of articles,
directories, on-line journals, museum collections, publishers,
etc. for the Ancient Near East. In other words, everything you
always wanted to know about Mesopotamia.
- The Perseus Project
- Extensive searchable indexes from the original Tufts project,
which is continuing to compile a majority of ancient Greek texts
and translations, as well as Greek art, architecture, and maps.
The complete program is on 4 CD-ROMs and called Perseus 2.0.
- Romarch, Roman

- The earliest and largest source for links on the archaeology
of Italy and the Roman provinces, published originally by the
