She Started It! CSUN Event Aims to Inspire Female Entrepreneurs and STEM Majors

As they reached for the sky, the female technology entrepreneurs shown in the documentary She Started It! fought the gravity of societal norms and pressures. A special screening included reaction from a panel of experts and an introduction from President Dianne F. Harrison.

CSUN Professor’s Artwork Envisions Multicultural Space Exploration in Getty-Sponsored Exhibition

Historical depictions of space exploration in modern media reflect a landscape void of multicultural influence. Professor Beatriz Cortez encourages an alternative by fusing her scholastic studies and artistic production into two space vessels in Mundos Alternos: Art and Science Fiction in the Americas, an exhibition that highlights the work of Latino artists.
