CSUN’s VITA Tax Clinic Works with Sen. Hertzberg and Citi Community Development in San Fernando

Sen. Bob Hertzberg has announced a partnership with Citi and CSUN’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Clinic to help improve the financial situations of thousands of struggling low-income families and stimulate economic development in San Fernando by encouraging residents to take advantage of free state and federal tax preparation services offered by CSUN accounting students.

BUILD PODER is recruiting for the Fall 2017 cohort. This unique research training program is funded by the National Institutes of Health. Students can receive up to 60 percent off tuition, research training and professional development, funding for travel and research, and one-on-one faculty mentorship. Qualifying students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and have at least two years left at CSUN before they graduate. Applications are due at 5 p.m. on March 3.
