CSUN Ranked in Top 25 Rising Stars for Research

CSUN gained the largest increase in research publication rates in North America, according to a listing by the journal Nature, besting Stanford University, NASA and other research institutions. Articles in the fields of chemistry, life sciences, physical sciences, and earth and environmental sciences published in journals chosen by Nature were the markers.

President Obama announced a $70 million federal award to the Smart Manufacturing Leadership Coalition, which includes CSUN among universities partnering in this institute. The goal of this institute is to fuel industry growth and innovation nationwide, with funding geared toward developing advanced manufacturing technology, and a supporting workforce and education pipeline.
