Community Invited to Join Campus in Shaping CSUN's Future

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., Feb. 18, 2005) -- Members of the community are invited to join Cal State Northridge administrators, faculty, staff and students next month as they make plans for the campus' future.

Northridge officials are holding two open forums on Tuesday, March 1, to solicit input for "Envision 2035," a university initiative to shape the campus master plan for the future.

The first forum is scheduled to take place from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in the Presentation Room of the Oviatt Library in the center of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge. The second forum will take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m. also in the Presentation Room.

This is the third set in a series of forums university officials are holding to ensure community members have an opportunity to join them in preparing Northridge to better serve the higher education needs of the region.

A draft campus plan will be presented at the March 1 forums for public comment.

For more information about "Envision 2035," visit its Web site at www.csun.edu/pubrels/envision2035.
