You must first complete the Checkout Policies Form and checkout card. After that, you may checkout by requesting the reserved items, before your study, in room SH 333-G.
When is the office open?
The Research Area office is located at SH 333-G and the hours are posted on the door.
When can I start my experiment?
An experiment can run as soon as the Research Area has an approved Research Approval Form, Debrief, and after you have an official room reservation, once your Sona Systems study information is 100% correct, and after you have reserved any equipment you need from the Research Area.

Why is my study not approved?
Your study will not be approved in Sona Systems until all information is 100% correct. Make sure you have an approved Research Approval Form and Debrief, you have an official room reservation, your Sona Systems study information is correct, and you have reserved any equipment you need from the Research Area.
How do I reserve a room?
Rooms must be reserved from psychpool@csun.edu
How do I get a computer for my study?
Rooms with computers must be reserved from the Research Area. (see how do I reserve a room) However, only one computer can be provided per room. If you need more computers - to save time by running more than one participant at a time - you will need to arrange to bring your own, or borrow a laptop.
At this time, the Research Area does not have the funds to provide more computers.
Where do I drop off my Approval Form?
Research Approval Forms can be dropped off, with a debrief form, at SH 333-G. There is a black tray that you can leave the forms in for later review. You will recieve an email from Sona Systems with your password if your study is approved.
You must have a CSUN email for the system or Research Area to get back to you.
Where are the Research Cubicles?
The Research Cubicles are located in Sierra Hall. Some cubicles (330/328/326/324) are located on the north side of the main walkway and some cubicles (333A/B/C/D/E/J/K) are located in the SH 333 hallway.
