Physical therapy students taught patient management skills

September 30, 2015

Physical therapy students taught patient management skills during an interprofessional session. Topics included use of crutches and other devices for walking and climbing stairs, fall prevention during gait training, and proper body mechanics to avoid injury during patient care. This lab-based class offered the opportunity for students from two different professions to meet while still in school. By learning with and from each other our CSUN students participating in CLIMB become more likely to engage in collaborative practice upon graduation.
