Research

We use scanning tunneling microscopy, scanning tunneling spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to investigate the structural, electronic, magnetic, and chemical properties of novel materials. We are currently interested in the following topics:
  • Preparation and characterization of two-dimensional materials
  • Magnetic and spin-related phenomena in low-dimensional materials
  • Reactions of adsorbates on surfaces
