Textbook: The Basic Practice of Statistics, 4th edition, by David S. Moore.

Gear: You will need a calculator that will find means, standard deviations, correlations, and regression lines. Look for a model that mentions "two variables statistics" or "regression". The recommended model is Texas Instruments' TI-83 or TI-84.

Exams: We will have two in-class midterm exams, on Wednesday, February 27 and Monday, April 14. Make-up exams will not be given under any circumstances.

Final Exam: Wednesday, May 14 from 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Homework: Homework problems will be typically assigned in every class, with the solutions due at the next class. No late homework will be accepted. Ever. Really.

Grades:
Midterm exams 2 x 25%
Final exam 40%
Homework 10%

Grades will be determined as follows:
90-100%:   A
80-89%:   B
70-79%:   C
60-69%:   D
<60%:   F
(+/- grades will be awarded)
