This Sunday, October 6, the nation observes National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Day, to honor those who have given their lives protecting their communities from natural and human-made emergencies and disasters. In observance of this sacrifice, I have directed that the university flag be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on October 6, in accordance with Public Law 107-51.
