Listed below are links to three databases. Using these datasets, this midterm will consist of accessing, describing, evaluating and running one of the three statistical techniques we have learned since our last midterm (i.e. Discriminant Analysis, Log Linear Analysis and Logistic Regression). Your written narrative for each answer should consist of the following three sections.
1. Discussion of the Research - You will read the questionnaire and review the research description to give a detailed account of the breadth and depth of the data collection. In your accounting, provide your input on the topic of the survey, the target population, the sampling frame and the major variables.
2. Major issues with the data - Discuss any major issues with the data, including levels of measurement, likely composite constructs and / or missing variables. What do these issues dictate as to an approach to data analysis. Be clear as to why these variables require your chosen technique and what they portend to demonstrate.
3. Finally, demonstrate your mastery of the multivariate statistical procedure by running the procedure in SPSS. Please include in your narrative a discussion of any assumptions these techniques portend as well as the following screen shots: 1) the variable input screen; 2) any sub-screen that was necessary to choose options for that procedure; and 3) the output screen(s) necessary to discuss conclusions derived from the procedure (remember Shift and Prt Scr in general will put a screen capture onto the clipboard, while highlighting the table and hitting ctrl C and ctrl V will do the same for the SPSS output.
