Assignment 9

From ICPSR, or similar data base, please sign in, culling the database of your choice, finding one with two non-quantitative independent variables and one quantitative dependent variable.   Download and open it in SPSS and do the following:

1.  Take a screen shot of the description of the database and include in the narrative.

2.  Open the General Linear Model procedure and choose the Univariate analysis procedure in SPSS.

3.  Place the two independent variables into your model in the fixed factor (independent variable) window of the dialogue box and the dependent variable into the dependent variable box.

4.  Generate the output and interpret the Univariate Analysis table.  Why is it called a Univariate analysis of variance? 

5.  Print the narrative (with output screen captured into your word file) and bring to class.
