8. Be able to contrast an independent/dependent variable and the various levels of measurement.
9. Know the various information sources and how to access them.
10. Know the difference between an index and scale.
11. Be able to distinguish between a Likert, Gutman and Semantic Differential scale
12. Understand the difference between reliability and validity
13. Develop a position on the ethics of social science research.
