What message if any do you try to put into your work?

I try to create a product that has a high perceived value
(something that looks more expensive than it really is) People think that
heavy = expensive & that the bigger the trophy
the better when in reality the determining costs are materials
used & labor expended.

Do you feel that you choose your passion or did it choose you?
It chose me.
My business has evolved & changed over the years. When I
started out I did more industrial engraving as the need dwindled I had to find
new niches. Business is constantly changing & if you ignore that change &
stick with your "passion" you will be out of business.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you hadn't chosen your field, what would your alternative
field have been?
I wanted to be a veterinarian (Far cry from engraver huh?) Stay
in school to complete the education for your passion!

How much emphasis do you place on education? What do you think
we should be getting out of a class like "the Psychology of Creativity"?
A college education is of much greater importance now than it
was in my generation. I doubt I would be able to compete as a young person in
the work & business world. Not as many "self made men" in the generations to
come without an education.
I don't know how you can teach creativity. It's something you
are born with. Perhaps the aspect that can be taught is to not be afraid, have
self confidence & go for it.
I hope this was of help!
