TEN COMMANDMENTS

(Exodus 20, cf. Deuteronomy 27)


  • (1) I am the Lord thy God... Thou shalt not have strange gods before me.
  • (2) Thou shalt not take the Name of the Lord thy God in vain....
  • (3) Remember that thou keep holy the Sabbath day....
  • (4) Honor thy father and thy mother, that thou mayest be long-lived upon the land that the Lord thy God will give thee.
  • (5) Thou shalt not kill.
  • (6) Thou shalt not commit adultery.
  • (7) Thou shalt not steal.
  • (8) Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
  • (9) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife.
  • (10) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, nor his servant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is his.





THE SEVEN GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

(Isaiah 11):
"There shall come forth a shoot from the root of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots. And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of Wisdom, and Understanding, of Counsel and Might, the spirit of Knowledge, and the Fear of the Lord. And his delight shall be in the Fear of the Lord...."
