We will cover the following sections of the text:

Homework

I will assign hand-in homework problems on Wednesdays, and they will be collected the following Wednesday at the beginning of the lecture. They will be graded and returned to you. Solutions to homework problems will be made available before the final exam. Late homework is not accepted under any circumstances. The lowest homework score will be dropped from your grade.

Quizes

There will be a short in-class quiz at the end of some of the lectures. There will not be make-up quizes, but the lowest quiz score will be dropped.

Exams

There will be 2 midterm exams and a cumulative final. The FINAL EXAM is common for all sections of Math 103. It will be on Friday, May 24, from 9 am to 11 am. (Room to be announced.)

Make-up exams

There will not be make-up exams, except in case of extreme emergencies or exceptional circumstances. You must notify me before the test if you are going to miss it, and you must bring documentation supporting your request for a make-up. If the documentation is satisfactory, I may give the make-up. A make-up exam will consist on a written exam plus an oral exam.

Grades

Your final grade will be determined as follows: I will use +/- when assigning your final grade.
