Institute for Community Health and Wellbeing

Center for Recreation and Tourism

The purpose of the Center for Recreation and Tourism is to act as a vehicle for promoting health, a balanced life style, and overall well-being through a variety of recreation and leisure experiences. The center provides training, education, and research endeavors undertaken by the Department of Recreation and Tourism.

One of the major initiatives of the center is the Adventure Learning program which offers programs that enhance group and individual development.  The CSUN high ropes challenge course and initiatives course offers unique experiences designed to develop specific team effectiveness skills for teams or just general community building experiences depending on the clients needs.  The course instills participants with confidence and enthusiasm, and provides lessons critical to personal and professional success.
