All CSUN Student Veterans Invited to Vocational Rehab Workshop Hosted by the Veterans Resource Center

WHAT:

The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) at the University Student Union invites all Student Veterans to learn more about the Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Vocational Rehabilitation program by attending this informative workshop. A representative of the VA will be present to speak about the process to apply and answer any program-related questions. Registration will be open from Monday, Jan. 22 to Friday, Jan. 26.

Amber Bartmus, Veterans Resource Center Supervisor, is responsible for this event.

WHEN:

Monday, Feb. 5 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

WHERE:

Altadena Room in the East Conference Center at the University Student Union (Located across from the main entrance of the Student Recreation Center)

WHY:

This convenient workshop will provide key information to Student Veterans interested in the Vocational Rehabilitation program.

BACKGROUND:

This workshop will discuss Vocational Rehabilitation, a Veterans Affairs program that helps veterans with service-connected disabilities in creating a plan toward academic and post-graduate success through skills development. The VA representative at the workshop will provide details about the program, the process to apply and the program’s benefits such as training, development and accommodations. Food will be provided.
