“Military-Connected Meet and Greet” Especially for Students with Ties to the Military but Are Not Veterans

WHAT:
The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) of the University Student Union (USU) invites all military-connected students, dependents and allies to enjoy free food and share their stories about their experience with military ties. The VRC is introducing this excellent opportunity to meet and network with other students who have family in the military. Come join us in the Oasis Wellness Center to hear about everything the VRC has to offer you and enjoy the support of the military-connected student community!

WHO:
Mayra Plascencia, VRC Manager, is responsible for this event.

WHEN:
Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

WHERE:
At the Oasis Wellness Center in the Mindful Garden and Radiant Square.

WHY:
To get together with other students in the military-connected community for networking opportunities and to learn about VRC resources.

BACKGROUND:
Free food and beverages will be provided at the “Military-Connected Meet and Greet” event where attendees can connect with others who have ties to the military. It is intended for all military-connected students who are not veterans but want to be informed about the many resources offered to them by the VRC, on campus and in the community.
