Veterans Educational Benefits Certification

This guide explains how student Veterans, their spouses and dependents may request Veterans Educational Benefits Certification through myNorthridge Portal and submit the required documents online.

Remember, every semester, you must certify your classes and if you make any changes to your class schedule reach out to the CSUN Office of Veteran Affairs!

Sigma Tau Alpha is a co-ed fraternity open to all military connected students committed to the goal of working together to create a better community. Their mission is to assist the veteran community in making a transition from a military mindset to scholars and fostering a sense of brotherhood.

The members of Sigma Tau Alpha Veteran Co-ed Fraternity would like to welcome all student Veterans to CSUN. They are willing to stand by our fellow veterans during this fight and help in any way possible. If you have any questions about CSUN and want a student Veteran’s advice, feel free to contact them and they can help answer based on their experiences.

Student Veteran Organization (SVO)

The Student Veteran Organization (SVO) was founded in 2008 at CSUN. The SVO advocates for veteran issues and fosters veteran relationships by providing a positive environment in order to socialize, engage in educational advancement and increase awareness as CSUN. The SVO is here to help you make a successful transition from Veteran to Scholar, through key resources and services such as leadership development and academic support. The SVO fosters opportunities to connect you with like-minded veterans, and is free to join!

Army Reserve Officers’ Training Program (ROTC)

The Army Reserve Officers’ Training Program (ROTC) is designed to commission the future leaders of the United States Army. The ROTC program at encourages students to graduate from CSUN in four years while gaining experience through leadership and development courses.

CSUN Veterans Alumni Chapter

The CSUN Veterans Alumni Association (VAA) is the premier post-secondary education network for CSUN Veterans and associates. In an ever-changing world, the Veterans Alumni Chapter provides real value for CSUN Veterans.

By joining the CSUN VAA, Veterans become a part of a growing network of CSUN Veterans that connect and network with fellow CSUN Alumni and make an impact on current student Veterans.

The VAA is proud of our school and the accomplishments that Veterans contribute to the community and on campus.
