Exploring the Big Questions: Nonprofit Sector Research in Southern California

Held on March 26, 2015, this conference highlighted research on the nonprofit sector conducted at UCLA, California State University Northridge, and other Southern California academic institutions - and the practical use of that research by community organizations in the Southern California region.  The conference was co-hosted by California State University Northridge and UCLA.  The full conference program is available for free downloading as are PowerPoints - from a keynote speech by Dr. Elizabeth Boris, director of the Urban Institute’s Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy, and from individual speakers in breakout sessions about Juvenile Justice, Environmental Justice, The Nonprofit Landscape, Place-Based Initiatives, Advocacy and Nonprofits and Demographic Shifts in Southern California.
