The University Student Union (USU) at California State University, Northridge is a student centered non-profit organization that works to expand the college experience through various programs, services, employment, and involvement opportunities.

The mission of the USU is to foster the achievement of students’ educational goals by facilitating a strong connection between students and their campus community.

We are an engaging and energetic campus program that develops students through inclusive activities, meaningful employment opportunities, leadership experiences and innovative technologies, facilities, and services.

The USU includes the Computer Lab, East Conference Center, Games Room, Northridge Center, Oasis Wellness Center, Pride Center, Reservations & Event Services, Student Recreation Center, USU Events, Veterans Resource Center...and you!

The Valley’s Biggest Recreation Center To Open At CSUN

Students will be introduced to the 138,000 square-foot Student Recreation Center (SRC) during the Grand Opening Ceremony, which will be held on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 at 10 a.m. The ceremony will feature a zip-line, live DJ, Dream World Cirque performers, Capoeira performers, arcade and carnival games, photo and video booths, free healthy snacks, and inflatable sports games. The facility is jam-packed with innovative features and services for students such as “The Ridge” (a 40-foot rock-climbing wall), a 1/8-mile track that hovers around the basketball courts, and equipment that pumps energy back into the power grid. The facility will cater to the 37,000 students on campus and is staffed by 250 new student assistants. The SRC has set a goal to register 10,000 students before the Grand Opening Ceremony.    Read more
