The University Student Union (USU) at California State University, Northridge is a student centered non-profit organization that works to expand the college experience through various programs, services, employment, and involvement opportunities.

The mission of the USU is to foster the achievement of students’ educational goals by facilitating a strong connection between students and their campus community.

We are an engaging and energetic campus program that develops students through inclusive activities, meaningful employment opportunities, leadership experiences and innovative technologies, facilities, and services.

USU Recognized For Creativity In Design At National Conference

The University Student Union (USU) received four “Steal This Idea” graphic design awards, presented by the 92nd Association of College Unions International (ACUI) annual conference from March 18 – 22, 2012 in Boston. The USU brought back first place for the 2009-2010 Annual Report Design, second place for the SRC Brochure and the Lt. Dan Choi Flier, and third place for the Student Recreation Center (SRC) Grand Opening “Ready, Set, GO!” flier. Read more

Glee Actor to Judge Lip-Sync Competition

Students will “fake it ‘till they make it” on stage as special guest, actor, Dijon Talton, will judge participants for the best show-stopping, lip-syncing performances, as students compete for a $400 cash prize on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Northridge Center, USU, from 7- 9:30 p.m.  Read more

Glee Actor to Judge Second Annual Lip-Sync Competition

The University Student Union (USU) will host the second annual Sync Off event; students will compete in an outrageous lip sync performance with groups or individuals, for a chance to win the ultimate $400 grand prize. Audience members can enjoy mocktails, and participate to lip sync a random song and win fun prizes. Additional Funds raised will be donated to the Eating Disorder Organization. Read more
