How are children placed in groups?

Campers are placed in groups according to their age and the grade they will enter in the fall. Parents may request grouping on the application, but requests are not guaranteed

When does registration open for Summer 2023?

Registration for Summer 2023 will open on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

How can I pay for camp?

To make a payment online, access your Campwise account through the registration portal. You can also make a payment over the phone by contacting the USU Cashier’s Office at 818-677-3626, or by contacting the camp office directly at 818-677-3617.

Payments sent by mail must include a copy of your child's online registration information. Please make checks out to University Student Union and mail payment to the address below:

Will I receive a confirmation letter of my child’s enrollment?

Yes. Sunny Days Camp will send a confirmation letter via e-mail, of the session(s) that your child is enrolled once your child’s application and deposit have been received, and as space is available.

What if my child has limited swimming ability?

Our swimming pool has a shallow area for the younger campers. Each session, campers will be tested for swimming ability and allowed in different regions of the pool accordingly. Life vests are provided for children to use while in the pool. Three certified lifeguards are always on duty, and our counselors are stationed around and in the pool.

Can my child use personal electronic devices at Sunny Days Camp?

No. Personal electronic devices are not allowed at camp, including, but not limited to: Cellular phones, pagers, video games, MP3 players, and CD players.

Can I enroll my child in less than five days per week?

This summer we will only offer Monday – Friday options.

Can I drop off my child earlier than 7:30 a.m.?

Campers may not sign in earlier than 7:30 a.m. A Sunny Days Camp staff member will be ready to sign in campers daily starting at 7:30 am.

What are the COVID-19 protocols?

Sunny Days Camp will adhere to all campus and local ordinances applicable when camp begins in June 2023.

Will there be field trips this summer?

Yes, all campers in the Traditional With Field Trips and other “With Field Trips” options go on weekly field trips on Wednesdays. Weekly Wednesday field trips are included in the registration fee. All regular field trips leave camp at 9 a.m. and return at 3 p.m. The website will be updated with locations once sites have been confirmed.

Will lunch and snacks be provided?

Yes, we are excited to once again provide daily lunch and snacks for all campers during Summer 2023. Lunch and snacks are included in the registration fee. Weekly menus will be posted closer to the start of the summer.
