COVID-19 Summer Event Cancellations

The University Student Union (USU) is continuing to monitor directives issued by the University as related to holding meetings and events. Per CSUN President Harrison, activities will not be held on campus during the Summer “…based on current guidance from elected and public health officials with the city and county of Los Angeles, as well as the State of California and the CSU…” Read President Harrison’s full message.

At this time, all reservations until Friday, Aug. 21 have been canceled in the USU. If this included one of your events, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. This step is necessary to protect the community. We will continue to make the health and safety of our campus community a top priority and will follow the recommendations of public health officials.

The status of events after Aug. 21 is yet to be determined. If you wish to make a reservation or reschedule after that date, please contact the USU Reservation and Event Services office at 818-677-3644. The response to COVID-19 is a fluid situation and updates on the availability of our rental spaces will be sent as they become available.

How to Book a Room

All reservation requests are processed in order of receipt and are subject to room availability. Please allow up to three business days to process the request. A reservation confirmation will be sent via email.

This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You must be a registered user in order to access the electronic form. Expect a response via email. If you have not received an email within three business days, call the office at (818) 677-3644 to verify that the request was received.

How to Register

To register, please click on "Create an Account" above. Complete the form fields and submit. Expect to receive a confirmation email once your eligibility has been verified and your account activated.

Registration is limited to persons who meet the listed criteria.

Chartered / Recognized Student Clubs & Organizations

  • The club/organization must be in good standing with the University Student Union.
  • The club/organization must be officially recognized by the Matador Involvement Center.
  • The registering individual must be a listed officer on the Clubs & Organizations Officer Information & Minimum Number of Students Form. This form is attained at the Matador Involvement Center.

University Departments

  • The department must be in good standing with the University Student.
  • CSUN Departments: The registering individual must be authorized to sign contracts and incur charges for the specified department(s) as designated by the Academic Resources Council. A Client Data FormPDF Icon listing the individual must be on file with Reservations & Event Services.
  • CSUN Auxiliaries: The registering individual must be authorized to sign contracts and incur charges for the specified CSUN auxiliary organization by the organization director. A Client Data FormPDF Icon listing the individual must be on file with Reservations & Event Services.
