Vote at the USU Board of Directors (BOD) Spring Elections

March 2, 2022

The University Student Union (USU) encourages all CSUN students to vote in the upcoming USU Board of Directors (BOD) Elections set to run from Monday, April 11 to Wednesday, April 13 where five student leaders will be chosen to serve two-year terms.

Voting in the USU BOD Elections will take place online on the same days as the Associated Students (AS) Elections. Students will receive a personalized voting ballot through their CSUN email on the first day of elections. By voting, undergraduate and graduate Matadors ensure that their voices are heard by choosing student leaders who best represent them. Elected students are part of a 16-member Board that makes decisions to improve and enhance the campus-life experience.

“The University Student Union seeks students who are interested in participating in a leadership development program that will give them the skills they need to set the direction for the company,” said Emery Hernandez, the Board’s administrative support coordinator. “Voting is the perfect opportunity for students to select candidates that reflect their interests and vision for student union programs and facilities.”

The Board of Directors has a track record of bringing popular student destinations to CSUN. Since 2012, the Board has been the driving force behind the Student Recreation Center, Veterans Resource Center, Pride Center, Oasis Wellness Center and a student referendum to build the planned “New Heart of Campus” to by 2025. Dedicated student leaders will continue to strengthen the CSUN community by improving the student union’s offerings.
