Northridge — The University Student Union (USU) invites all students, faculty and staff to experience CSUN’s best talent competition at the 18th Annual Student Showcase: “Walk Among the Stars”. On Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 7 to 9 p.m., attendees will enjoy a night filled with singing, dancing and other incredible skills from the most talented students on campus in the Plaza del Sol Performance Hall at the USU. Come and watch as student entertainers take the stage to win big cash prizes, the hearts of the judges, and your vote. Experience the fun of watching these future superstars compete live on stage for the grand prize– all completely FREE!
“Student Showcase is one of the USU’s favorite events because it offers a chance for talented CSUN students to take the spotlight and win a great prize,” said USU Events Supervisor Pero Akinbohun. “We are rolling out the red carpet to welcome our star-studded campus community to this exciting night and the contestants will be bringing their A-game to make it a night to remember.”
Ten finalists made it through the audition process and are now ready to give it their all at the big Student Showcase event on Wednesday, Nov. 6. They’ll be competing for a chance to win “Best Solo Performance” or “Best Group Performance Act” for cash prizes of $500 each as well as “Crowd Favorite” for a prize of $100. The audience will be able to vote for their favorite performer through a website link that will be displayed after the performances.
Free tickets for Student Showcase are available now at the A.S. ticket office in the University Student Union with a valid CSUN Student I.D. One guest is also permitted for each CSUN student.
