Turn Your School Nights into Game Nights at “eSports Tournament Season 2” with the Games Room

Northridge– The Games Room of the University Student Union (USU) invites all Matadors to blow off some steam this fall semester with the fun of competition during our “eSports Tournament Season 2”. From Tuesday, Oct. 20 to Saturday, Nov. 21, all CSUN gamers can join their friends on the Discord in a variety of competitions including Trivia Nights, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Super Smash Bros, Tekken 7 and ongoing completion bounties! 

“This is a great opportunity for CSUN students to stay connected while socially distancing and still have a fun playing video games with friends,” said Jeremy Hamlett, Manager, SRC Intramurals and Day Camp. “The Games Room is here to help still you have a blast online during this online school year!” 

Join this exciting competition to go head to head with other Matadors this season with nine different tournaments. All participants in each tournament will get the chance to win gift card prizes and each event will award seasonal points for players that place in the top 3. The player with the most seasonal points will win the grand prize! 

Each tournament will take place on different days at 5pm: Trivia Nights on Tuesdays, Oct. 20 and Nov. 10; Dragon Ball FightZ on Wednesdays, Nov. 4, Nov. 11 and Nov. 18; Super Smash Bros on Thursdays, Oct. 22, Oct. 29, and Nov. 5, and Tekken 7 will take place on Fridays, Oct. 30, Nov. 6, Nov. 13. In addition, completion bounties will begin Sunday, Oct. 18 and end Saturday, Nov. 21.
