Leading Scholar of Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality Kimberle Crenshaw Joins “Essential Talks” Speaker Series, Hosted by CSUN

WHAT: California State University, Northridge (CSUN) invites Matadors to attend the Critical Race Theory and Its Impact on Social Change with Kimberle Crenshaw. Develop a deeper understanding of the challenges facing historically underrep-resented students and why Critical Race Theory and intersectional feminism are essential for justice, equity, diversity and inclusion. 

WHO: Janessa Reyes, Diversity Initiatives Supervisor, is supervising this event. 

WHEN: Thursday, Nov. 10 from 4-6 p.m. 

WHERE: Zoom 

WHY: Matadors will learn how to implement positive social change in their communities with this special presentation. 

BACKGROUND: Kimberle Crenshaw is an author and advocate for Critical Race Theory and in-tersectionality, both terms she coined, as well as a professor at the UCLA School of Law and Columbia Law School.
