Find a Sense of Personal Belonging at CSUN with “Cultural Welcomes” from the University Student Union

WHAT:
The University Student Union (USU) invites all CSUN students, faculty and staff to experience Cultural Welcomes, where you will have the opportunity to connect with your choice of diverse cultural communities here at CSUN! From Tuesday, Sept. 7 to Wednesday, Sept. 15, hop onto Zoom to meet your peers and engage in fun activities and conversations in these special welcoming events! We want your journey at CSUN to be guided with loving support and a personal community here on campus for you.

WHO:
Ayan Jama, Diversity Initiatives Coordinator, is supervising this event.

WHEN:
Asian American Pacific Islander Welcome: Sept. 7 from 12-1:30 p.m. Latinx Welcome: Sept. 8 from 12-1:00 p.m.
American Indian Welcome: Sept. 9 from 2-3:00 p.m.
Welcome Black: Sept. 15 from 6-8 p.m.

WHERE:
Each event will be held virtually via Zoom. (Zoom ID: 843 3232 3906; Passcode: 597676)

WHY:
Attendees at each of these specific cultural events will have access to a supportive network with students, faculty and staff while also discovering the many resources offered in every community. It is important that everyone at CSUN has
a place to share similar experiences and converse on their personal culture.
