Celebrate Our CSUN Veterans including Students, Faculty and Staff All Week Long during Salute to Service with the Veterans Resource Center

WHAT: The Veterans Resource Center of the University Student Union (USU) invites the CSUN community to Salute to Service, an exciting weeklong celebration in recognition of all CSUN veterans including students, faculty and staff who have served in the military. Come and discover everything the Veterans Resource Center can offer you here at CSUN. Our exciting programs during this special week will include the fun and competitive Turkey Bowl flag football tournament, our informative Joining Forces Ally Training and many more. Join us in honoring our veterans for their service to our country! 

WHO: Gabriel Hernandez, Supervisor at the Veterans Resource Center, is responsible for coordinating this event. 

WHEN: Salute to Service from Saturday, Nov. 6 to Friday, Nov. 12
Saturday, Nov. 6 from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. (SRC Field): Turkey Bowl: A Coed Flag Football Tournament 
Monday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m.-2p.m. (Veterans Resource Center): VRC Open House 
Tuesday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m.-Noon (Altadena Room, East Conference Center) and from 2:00-4:00 p.m. via Zoom(Registration Required): Joining Forces Ally Training 
Wednesday, Nov. 10 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (Plaza del Sol): Support Our Vets Activity Stations 
Friday, Nov. 12: Veteran Support Package (Virtual; Registration required; Student Veterans only) 

WHERE: On Campus and via Zoom 

WHY: CSUN veterans will be informed all about the helpful resources provided by the VRC and all Matadors can learn how they can become a veteran ally while creating meaningful connections with military-connected Matadors.
