Cast Your Vote on April 1–2 to Elect New Student Leaders to CSUN’s University Student Union Board of Directors

March 25, 2020

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Northridge — The University Student Union (USU) is encouraging all CSUN students to vote in the upcoming annual elections to choose the new student USU Board of Directors (BOD). It’s every CSUN student’s opportunity to vote for other students who are fully committed to making many important decisions to improve campus life for all Matadors. The student leaders who are elected will act as the voice of change to enhance your overall college experience and have a lasting, positive impact on our CSUN community. The Associated Students/USU Board of Directors elections will be held on Wednesday, April 1 and Thursday, April 2.

“The University Student Union understands how important it is to have CSUN students leading our Board of Directors, especially when it’s creating a sense of belonging for every student,” said Freddie Sanchez, USU Associate Director, Marketing & Programs and USU Elections Advisor. “It is just as important for students to vote for candidates who they think will best serve their campus community.”

The USU Board of Directors has an impressive track record of being responsible for bringing many positive changes and popular student destinations to CSUN. Over the last few years, the Board has been the driving force behind the Student Recreation Center, Veterans Resource Center, Pride Center, Oasis Wellness Center and, coming in 2022–2023, the opening of the “New Heart of Campus”— an exciting new construction and renovation project at the USU that is intended to be the new center of student life at CSUN.

Voting for the USU Board of Directors elections will be available online through your CSUN email account from Wednesday, April 1 at 8 a.m. to Thursday, April 2 at 7 p.m. For further information on voting in the Elections, the USU Board of Directors and the University Student Union, please visit csun.edu/usu/elections.
